Welllll I’m going to talk briefly about my career path because I have class work to do!
I decided a few days ago that I want to change my major to either, exercise science, kinesiology or something a long the lines of that. I have always loved working out and being fit. I recently have gotten into health and knowing what I’m putting in my body and the affects of it. I also played basketball and ran track in high school, so I have a love for sports and being active.
I REALLY want to be a personal trainer, sports conditioning coach or a physical therapist. Either full or PT, whichever way God leads me… and be able to work with sports teams such as the NBA level etc. I am honestly thinking that my career would be physical therapy and my part time independent work could be a personal trainer. I would be able to get certified through accredited programs and become a personal trainer while working on my degree in physical therapy. I know I can do it, and I will do it… my only issue right now is the school I’m attending doesn’t have ANY type of degree that works with that.
I am going to have to build my own program if possible or switch universities.
A physical therapist makes a good amount of money:
(salary.com statistics)
The salary range at the 25th percentile making $65,597 and at the 75th percentile makingĀ $76,363. That’s a heck of a great income. You have to have your master’s degree, which means you would know your stuff!
Being a personal trainer you can make a lot of money too:
The salary range at the 25th percentile isĀ $38,063 and at the 75th percentile it’s at $64,760. I can obtain my PT license while in school working on my physical therapy degree.
The options are endless!
But what I’m thinking I will do is major in physical therapy, minor in business and get my personal trainers license and be set!
With those two professions I will be doing well financially and doing something I love.
Well that’s all for now,
Time to do my work!! =)
Peace , love, & education!!!!
