But anyways, I have to start early (5:38PM)because my hair is so flippin’ thick and dries some what slow. Damp braidouts are nottttt cute! Can we say – DISASTER…?!

Welllll let’s hope and pray the hair looks BOMB so I can post the pics! Happy Holiday!

I really haven’t done anything with my hair.
I have been bunning and wet bunning for the past few months and will be for a while too! So I have nothing exciting to say about that. My hair is def growing I can say that much! I will be updating in a few months on my hair.

Ooooo let’s see! I got my classes for the spring 2010! Yay for me. I also got a job now. I was hoping and praying to get this job at bank of america and I got it. God is so friggin good. :)

Well I’m posting via mobile phone, found an awesome app! :) so I can blog more frequently.

Ooo I also decided that I’m not going to do physical therapy at this time. I still do find it enjoyable, but I am going to finiish my degree because I think this is what God wanted me to do, this is my true direction. I want to be paid to talk and share my views on things. I’m destine to!

Well this is just my update for now.

Sooooo I took my first part of my finals! I did well! I am pretty sure I made 2 A’s. I have two more finals. I’m actually having FUN studying. I know, it may sound dorky. But when I think about the end result of getting an A, despite how hard the work may have been — it is very rewarding! I just wanted to discuss this, no real details yet! When my grades come through I will have more to say! =)

The hair battle… dun, dun, dun! Monday, Nov 30 2009

This is my first official blog, I was blogging for a bit on another site – I will remain nameless, but I must admit I didn’t really like it! I have seen others use this one and I must say I do like it a lot more. This blog is going to be about my hair, stories, etc. My natural hair journey has most def been a journey!

I started off natural July 20,2008. I was a lurker on LHCF for a while, and saw all the beautiful heads of hair. I also was a content lurker on youtube as well! Seeing such beautiful hair inspired me, and the day of July 20th, I cut my hair on my own. I’m not sure if I even used sharp enough FRESH scissors! lol. But I did it, and I will admit I was in shock at my OWN self, for doing so!

I had been permed for SO many years, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to react, what others would think. I was afraid to even tell my family.

Fast forward to a year later, and I loveeeed being natural! I loved my curl pattern. I loved people telling me they loved my hair or ask me what did I do to get it to be that way. I just loved it. My permed tresses never gained much attention. I was sold and told my self I would never perm again!

A few months later, maybe 2 months to be a exact — I did a texturizer. I lost so much hair from trying to comb through it because that is what the directions had told me to do (stupid stupid stupid! lol) I wasn’t AS afraid because my thought was, “My hair is sooooo thick, I can afford to lose some strands!) After I was done, I thought I was lookin FIERCE! But UH OH, I didn’t get the top portion of my hair very well, so what did I do? I did a “Corrective texturizer” a week or 2 later. NOW it “was perfect” (so I thought).

Immediately I saw that I had accidentally done a few parts toooo straight, so my hair was looking uncomfortable lol. I dealt with it for a little while, up until I realized I couldnt take it anymore. I had lost my texture, I lost a part of ME that I worked so hard for.

I took my NEW pair of scissors, and cut off any of the straggly straight pieces I could without cutting off ALL of my hair. I snipped off 4 inches in the frontal top part, and felt SUCH a feeling of relief. I knew I had just cut off a lot of my progress, but I rather have a head of healthy hair, then long jacked up hair — and that is what I was working with in the front.

I Krystal MC vow to never put any type of texturizer, perm, relaxer – anything that alters my curl pattern through chemicals, AGAIN!

So now, 11/30/09 — I am transitioning back to ALL natural so I can have the beautiful tresses God blessed me with again. I am so so ready for a year to pass to gain my length back. I have been wet bunning for half a month now. I will be wet bunning for a year with the occasional alternative due for other events IF I feel like it. But honestly, this is the easiest and most elegant style I can do right now.  OHHH, I’m ALSO growing out color too.

See the color in the back?

I want to CHOP it all off, buttt then I’d look like a creature or something, because my hair would be allll kinds of uneven! It’s already uneven in the front. But I’m happy with what I did. I told my self I wouldn’t color anymore. And I don’t think I will. IF I ever do, I’m doing highlights with a deep color, nothing too stripping – or the wands that have color, well I take that back. I will just do clip in pieces if I want color! Because I honestly want a color that most people probably would find CRAZY — like this….

Pink clip in highlight!

I want to find something that is like that but curly too, you know like a natural type african american coil — buttttt i have months before i even consider putting those in!

Well, this has been my first entry of SHH until next time!

Physical Therapy – career to be! Monday, Nov 30 2009

Welllll I’m going to talk briefly about my career path because I have class work to do!

I decided a few days ago that I want to change my major to either, exercise science, kinesiology or something a long the lines of that. I have always loved working out and being fit. I recently have gotten into health and knowing what I’m putting in my body and the affects of it. I also played basketball and ran track in high school, so I have a love for sports and being active.

I REALLY want to be a personal trainer, sports conditioning coach or a physical therapist. Either full or PT, whichever way God leads me… and be able to work with sports teams such as the NBA level etc. I am honestly thinking that my career would be physical therapy and my part time independent work could be a personal trainer. I would be able to get certified through accredited programs and become a personal trainer while working on my degree in physical therapy. I know I can do it, and I will do it… my only issue right now is the school I’m attending doesn’t have ANY type of degree that works with that.

I am going to have to build my own program if possible or switch universities.

A physical therapist makes a good amount of money:

(salary.com statistics)

The salary range at the 25th percentile making $65,597 and at the 75th percentile making  $76,363. That’s a heck of a great income. You have to have your master’s degree, which means you would know your stuff!

Being a personal trainer you can make a lot of money too:

The salary range at the 25th percentile is  $38,063 and at the 75th percentile it’s at $64,760. I can obtain my PT license while in school working on my physical therapy degree.

The options are endless!

But what I’m thinking I will do is major in physical therapy, minor in business and get my personal trainers license and be set!

With those two professions I will be doing well financially and doing something I love.

Well that’s all for now,

Time to do my work!! =)

Peace , love, & education!!!!
